Message from the President

"Our non-profit organization does not have any overhead. We the members are all volunteers, and we use our own money whenever we travel and other personal expenses. More than 10 years ago before my father (Bishop Remus Arbouet) founder of "Eglise de Dieu Eben-Ezer, passed away we created this non-profit to help him because we knew that he was doing it for the people, he was getting older, and could not manage all the churches by himself anymore. When he passed away six years ago, we took over with my mother, the co-founder, Jamine Arbouet. My mother recently passed in August 2009, and we were able to take her back for her final resting place next to my father at the main church they started some 60-years ago. All of the family, including my two daughters went. We are now looking at the timing. That church was destroyed in Petit-Goâve by the earthquake and all of the people who lost their homes went up to the mountain where they are now camping out and waiting for help to come."

Mission Statement

Our mission is to enhance the quality of life of the underprivileged individuals spiritually, socially, educationally, and economically.

Eglise de Dieu Eben-Ezer was founded in June 1942. An independent trust, supported by the generosity of a number of faithful contributors and private donations, it is dedicated to the cause of the deprived Haitian men, women, and children that our social conditions have victimized.

We try to restore to those vulnerable people their basic rights to food, shelter, health, education, and a future.
